MUWOFO

History of the
MUWOFO Music World Cup

In 2009, Que Montana, a young musician from Zimbabwe, sat in his small room with a big dream. He envisioned a Music World Cup—a global celebration where people from every corner of the world would unite through the power of music. Music, he believed, had the extraordinary ability to heal broken souls, bring hope to the hopeless, and inspire people to reach their true potential. It wasn’t just about competition, it was about creating a platform where the world could come together, find common ground, and feel uplifted.

Que's journey to make this dream a reality was anything but easy. As a passionate musician and entrepreneur, he threw himself into making his vision come true. In Zimbabwe, he gathered a team of like-minded individuals who shared his enthusiasm. Together, they worked tirelessly to lay the groundwork for the MUWOFO Music World Cup. But the harsh economic climate in Zimbabwe made it almost impossible to move forward. Despite their efforts, the project had to be put on hold.

An inspoiring story about a young African dreamer....

He never stopped dreaming...

Refusing to give up, Que moved to South Africa, where he tried again. He gathered a fresh team of passionate creatives and organizers, hoping the environment would be more conducive to realizing his vision. Yet, the challenges persisted. Economic struggles, financial instability, and logistical hurdles continued to thwart his progress. The dream had to be shelved once more.

However, Que was undeterred. In 2015, he returned to Zimbabwe with renewed determination. This time, he focused on organizing the MUWOFO Music Talent Search, an event designed to scout talent from across the globe. He invited participants from different countries, hoping to build momentum for the bigger dream of the Music World Cup. The event was a success, with many talented musicians coming together to showcase their skills. But once again, financial troubles plagued the event. Some of the sponsors, facing their own struggles, had to pull out, leaving Que’s vision hanging by a thread.

Despite each setback, Que never allowed his belief in the power of music to waver. Each challenge he faced only made him more determined and resourceful. He refined the idea, making it stronger and more adaptable, always improving. He knew that the world needed this platform more than ever—especially in times when divisions seemed so deep.

In the face of adversity, Que adapted. He created an online team, utilizing modern technology to push the idea further. With a dedicated group of passionate individuals from all over the world, the MUWODO Music World Cup began to gain strength, day by day. While the road was still filled with obstacles, the project grew steadily, fueled by Que’s vision and the unwavering belief in the power of music to bring people together.

Now, with years of experience and an unstoppable drive, Que is once again pushing toward his ultimate goal: the MUWODO Music World Cup. With 2030 fast approaching, he aims to make the dream a reality, knowing that it will take more than just talent—it will take resilience, determination, and the collective power of those who believe in the cause.

Que Montana’s story is one of perseverance, hope, and the unshakable belief that music can change the world. He continues to push forward, despite the challenges, knowing that in the end, the dream will be worth every struggle. And as the world waits, we know that one day, his vision will come to life, uniting people through music in ways we never imagined.
